Police were called around 10:25 a.m. on Sunday to a home on Natalie Barneykade (De Held). Inside, officers found a 53-year-old woman from Groningen who died from her injuries despite medical aid.
A 29-year-old man from Groningen was arrested near his home shortly after the report. According to police, the suspect and victim knew each other. He is in custody while detectives investigate the circumstances.
