A new Geldmaat store featuring multiple ATMs for cash withdrawals and deposits will open at Vismarkt in Groningen before the summer holidays. This staff-free location will combine various Geldmaat services, making it easier for both individuals and businesses to access cash without searching for separate ATMs.
What to Expect in the Geldmaat Store
The store, which will be located in the former Wijsneus building, will house six to seven machines, including:
- High-capacity ATMs for withdrawals.
- Deposit machines for both banknotes and coins.
- Business deposit machines for shopkeepers to deposit daily earnings.
Enhanced Security Measures
Although there will be no staff on-site, the building will be equipped with advanced security systems, including:
- Roller shutters for protection outside opening hours (7 a.m. to 10 p.m.).
- Fog alarms and camera surveillance.
- Emergency red buttons at each ATM, allowing customers to instantly connect with a security guard via an intercom.
Renovation Before Opening
The exact opening date is still uncertain, as some renovations may be needed, such as installing sliding doors for accessibility and ensuring the floor can support a heavy coin deposit machine.
