Cycle Path Closures Around City Park and Freedom Square in September

Cyclists around City Park and Freedom Square should be prepared for some detours and extra kilometres in the coming months due to ongoing work on the underlying roads as part of the Ring-Zuid project. Several key cycle paths will be closed during September and beyond, affecting routes near the southern ring road.
The cycle path running parallel to Ring Zuid between Laan Corpus den Hoorn and Piccardthoflaan will be closed from Monday, September 2nd, until Friday, September 27th. Additionally, the new cycle path from Martiniplaza to Laan van de Vrede, which runs under the southern ring road, will be closed from September 2nd until Friday, November 15th.
Later in September, from the 16th to the 20th, the cycle path from the roundabout at Laan Corpus den Hoorn to Donderslaan will also be closed. The Concourslaan in Stadspark, under the Ring West viaduct, will be inaccessible from September 16th to September 27th.
These closures are necessary to complete work on the underlying roads as part of the broader Ring-Zuid infrastructure project. Cyclists are advised to check for updates on cycle path closures and plan alternative routes accordingly.
